Orlando to Nashville

Our holiday is winding down. Traveling Home.
Successfully wore ourselves out, I think.


We stopped at a hotel in Nashville at 8:30 p.m. No one was interested in finding a pool/jacuzzi.

Alot of discussion about our New Year's resolutions. We all agreed eating healthier and exercising needed to be on our list.

Power Foods from the editors of Whole Living Magazine, will be my next purchase at Barnes &Noble. (pictured on my READING bar, down and to the right).

At one of our stops in Tennessee, I bought this. Raw nutty taste combined with the cinnamon.
Not for you, if you crave Chicharrones.

Apples, my favorite

Dried apples are easy to make. Grannysmith apples taste the best to me.
I use a potato peeler and quickly peel the apple (I am wary about the pesticides that linger on the outside of the apple).
Then I core/slice the apple. Lemon or citrus juice keeps the apple slicing from turning brown. I mix up a glass of Emergen C in a small bowl and dip the apple slices in it. ( Emergen C has got all kinds of good stuff in it). I place the apple slices on the dehydrator trays and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon and dry overnight.

Healthy Skin

The best health & beauty advice that I learned this year is to use a softening skin cleanser. This comes from watching my oldest sister, who has great looking skin.

Did you know that 60% of topical skin care products are absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream?

I started using an aloe vera based gentle cleanser. My face feels great. The bonus of this particular product is that it has a great smell. It reminds me of my mother's coldcream when I was a kid. ( I loved to cuddle up to my mom and smell her).
